Pork Verde

Pork Verde Tacos

99% of the time, we do this dish as tacos first, and then the left overs get used on salads, waffles, or again as tacos. It also freezes REALLY well.

This is my #1 go to recipe when I am feeding the masses.

Ingredients:

1, 2 to 3 pound pork butt. This can be more of less, depending on how much meat you want. You can also use other cuts of meat (get what is on sale, duh) or with chicken.

1 Jar of Salsa Verde. We usually use Herdez (16 oz) but have used other brands and still its amazing. If you are using chicken, you can also play with using red salsa!

Taco extras (corn tortilla, cilantro, tomatoes, more salsa, guacamole, lettuce, cheese, beans, whatever your heart desires)

Directions

1- Meat and salsa in crockpot.

2- Cook on low for 6 to 8 hrs or high for about 4 to 5 hrs.

3- Assemble tacos, or taco salad, or waffle.

Pro Tip! Freeze FLAT in a freezer bag, like, fill up a freezer bag and smush it flat and lay it down in the freezer. When you go to thaw this for you next meal, it will thaw way faster.
